PAQ are an established and growing IT company seeking a technically talented L1/L2 Helpdesk engineer to work out of our head office. There is a strong focus on communication and customer service within this role. The candidate will help contribute to the growth of the company and in turn will receive great personal growth and learning. We offer a training and certification roadmap from day one.
This is a client-focused role with a focus on working with leading edge technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Work on Service Desk tickets.
· Ensure Service Level Agreements are maintained
· Daily client communications.
· Daily tasks specific to client site.
· Upkeep and maintenance of client specific documentation.
· Identify and recommend improvements and solutions.

Education and Qualifications:
· Minimum 2-3 years working in a similar environment.
· 3rd Level Diploma/Degree would be beneficial/advantageous
· Working knowledge of Microsoft portfolio
· Knowledge of fundamental networking principals.
· (Desirable) Proven track record of learning with industry led certifications. E.g. CompTIA, MCSA. CCNA
· Working knowledge of Windows Server, Hyper-V, Firewalls

Purpose of the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team as a key member of our technical team. As a Senior Technical Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex IT solutions for our clients. You will work closely with both internal teams and external clients to understand their business requirements and translate them into robust and scalable technical solutions. Your expertise will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our client engagements and maintaining strong relationships with our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with sales and pre-sales teams to understand client requirements and design technical solutions that meet their needs.
- Lead the architecture design process, considering factors such as scalability, security, performance, and integration requirements.
- Develop comprehensive solution architectures, including infrastructure, applications, data, and security components.
- Provide guidance and technical leadership to the implementation teams during solution deployment and ensure adherence to architectural best practices.
- Conduct technology assessments and recommend appropriate solutions based on industry best practices and emerging trends.
- Act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to clients, offering guidance and recommendations on technology solutions and strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization of service delivery.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in technology and industry trends, ensuring continuous professional growth and knowledge transfer to the team.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, solution designs, and project plans.
- Participate in customer meetings, workshops, and presentations to demonstrate the value of proposed solutions and address technical queries.
Skills Desired:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a Technical Solutions Architect, preferably within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
- Strong expertise in designing and implementing complex IT solutions, including infrastructure, networking, security, and cloud technologies.
- Proficient in architecting solutions utilizing platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- In-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies, such as Hyper-V or VMware.
- Solid understanding of networking protocols, security concepts, and information security best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g. Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect,) are highly desirable.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the main point of contact for queries and escalations.
- Understand clients’ business requirements and provide guidance and solutions to meet their needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that client issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.
- Monitor clients’ usage of our products or services and proactively identify opportunities for improvement or expansion.
- Work closely with technical solutions team to identify and pursue opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Prepare and deliver regular reports on client status and activity.
- Attend client meetings, conferences and events as required.
Ensure that clients are satisfied with our products or services and identify areas for improvement.
Skills Desired:
- A third Level Qualification in business administration, marketing or related discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in customer service or account management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Customer-focused mindset and ability to empathise with customers.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
